Over on Reality Panic (the blog run by Jason Della Rocca, IGDA’s Executive Director), you can find the “REAL Choice Awards Nominee List”: the actual developers behind the games nominated for the Choice Awards.
Jason highlights that the Choice Awards are one of the few industry awards which recognize and celebrate the talent behind the games. The awards don’t just recognize the creators of the games, or the heads of studios, but the creative talent in each area (Design, Art, Writing, Audio, Programming, etc).
We need more awards like these, that not only that put a spotlight on the great talent in the industry, but also shines a light on the up and coming talented developers who will have an impact in the years to come.
